Pre-Law

Course Overview

TCU Pre-Law students attend law schools all over the United States. Our best students can be found at top-ranked schools like Harvard, Yale, UC-Berkeley, UCLA, Georgetown, the University of Virginia, and the University of Texas. Of course, many TCU students routinely attend each of the other nine law schools in Texas, or those in their home states. No matter what your major, you may decide to apply for admission to law school. Faculty pre-law advisers will work with you
individually to select courses of study that will match your particular interests, help prepare you for both law school and its admission process, and help you better understand the realities of the legal profession.

The decision to enter law school is an important and costly one, and not all prospective pre-law students will ultimately choose to go on to law school. In part, this explains why it is important to choose an undergraduate major based on your academic interests versus your desire to improve your chances for admission to law school.
