Psychology of Leadership

There is an increasing public and corporate interest in supporting leaders who act with courage based on values and principles. Other important competencies are creative problem solving, thinking critically, working in teams, supporting diversity, and practicing emotional intelligence. TCU’s Psychology of Leadership minor seeks to respond to these demands in both conceptual and practical ways. For example, coursework considers theories such as Transformational and Authentic Leadership, explores factors related to influence in various social contexts, and provides experiences for students to develop personal skills and strengths in ethical leadership. Our goal is to prepare and enable our students to be among the responsible, principled leaders of tomorrow who will meet challenges and change
their worlds in positive ways.
