Urban Studies

Course Overview

The urban studies minor is intended for any undergraduate student interested in the multi-disciplinary exploration of cities.  Urban studies courses look into the organization of urban space, the varied and multiple dimensions of urban life, and the many challenges presented by the rapid pace of urban change in the 21st century.

As cities continue to expand, it is important to understand what makes design and policy so important to the success of an urban district or metropolitan area.  Urban studies minors develop analytical skills relevant to a wide range of fields, including business, real estate, politics, urban planning, and data science, among many others.
