Other Paths to TCU
Veterans
First off, thank you for you service. As a small token of appreciation we will waive
your application fee.
Your military basic training counts as four credit hours toward your academic future
at TCU. In addition to those four credits, you’ll need 20 transferrable credit hours
from a community college or other institution. Or you can submit you high school transcripts
along with eight transferrable credit hours. Transferrable credit hours can be in
in progress while you apply to TCU.
When you’re ready, you’ll apply using our transfer application.

High School Graduates Without College Experience
Applicants OVER the age of 21*
TCU is home to students of every age and we’re delighted for your interest. Students who have never attended college apply with the first-year application. If you aren't able to access the required high school teach and counselor evaluations, we'll accept two recommendation letters from others (like an employer, community member, etc). The college credits you may have earned in high school don’t apply toward transfer status.
Being an older first-year student does have its advantages as you are exempt from living in an on-campus residence hall.
When you’re ready, you’ll apply using our transfer application.
First-Year Application Checklist
