Here in the TCU Office of Admission, we have many things to be thankful for. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, some counselors, staff, and interns wanted to share their thankful thoughts about TCU. Today, we are thankful for TCU's community, co-workers, campus, students and education.

Dr. Giridhar Akkaraju writes about the Teacher-Scholar Model, which holds that undergraduate teaching and building relationships with students is just as important as conducting research. This is an integral part of what makes TCU a unique institution and we’re thankful Dr. Akkaraju spent the time to provide his perspective!

A procrastinator at heart, I put off everything related to college until my mom forced me on a college road trip through Texas. Although I had told my mom a road trip would not help me decide what schools I wanted to attend, I quickly realized how wrong I was when we made one of our first stops at TCU. Possibly the most influential part of what TCU had to offer was the opportunity to have more.
