Tulips in front of Frog Fountain

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, Horned Frogs! This is not just a day to celebrate the people we love, but also the places that hold a near and dear place in our hearts. That of course includes TCU! This is such a special place, and I wanted to share just a few of the many reasons why I love TCU.

Small Class Sizes

TCU offers a unique and personal educational experience that you won’t find anywhere else! Our student-to-faculty ratio is 13:1, meaning that we get to know our professors and build professional relationships with them. This will set you up for success as you engage with your learning and begin to think of career opportunities after you graduate from TCU. Having small classes has allowed me to connect with my professors and learn about internships and job opportunities

Career Services

Speaking of career opportunities, TCU is ranked number 25 in the nation for best career services, according to The Princeton Review! The Center for Career & Professional Development gets students career ready by hosting career fairs and offering one-on-one meetings with specialized career consultants. There are so many ways for us to leverage this resource whether it’s taking an on-campus employment opportunity or preparing for an interview for a full-time job after we graduate. I’ve met with my career counselor several times to discuss potential majors and career paths for my future!

Location

TCU is located in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, and there is so much to see and do! Fort Worth is a vibrant city and is the 12th largest city (based on population) in the U.S. A few of my personal favorite places to visit are the Stockyards, Sundance Square and the restaurants on South Main Street! Check out these spots and more on our Horned Frog Blog

Student Involvement

We have so many opportunities outside of the classroom to get involved! From societies surrounding academic and personal development to clubs based on your favorite recreational activities, we have it all! With over 400 student organizations, there is truly something for everyone! One of the organizations I am involved with is the PRSSA chapter at TCU, which provides opportunities for us to network with public relations professionals.

Community

Of course, I couldn’t forget my most favorite thing about TCU: the people! I believe that is the secret that makes TCU so special! From the moment I set foot on campus, I knew that there was something special making TCU stand out from other schools. The people I’ve met here have become a family to me, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

During my time here, I have met so many different people that come from all walks of life. These bright and fun students bring brilliant ideas to the classroom, making TCU more than just a university. Here, we call TCU home and our peers become our second family!

Don’t just take my word for it; let’s see why our TCU ambassadors love it here:
