First-year Application: Submitting Recommendation Letters
As a part of the application process, TCU requires two letters of recommendation from first-year applicants (recommendation letters are optional for transfer applicants). One must come from a teacher, while the other is sent in by a school counselor. These letters are a great way for our admission team to better get to know who you are as a person beyond the numbers we see on the application.

Transfer students make a meaningful impact on TCU's campus! Many students transfer after earning associates degrees, completing military service or realizing that the college they chose just doesn't feel like home. Though no two transfer students will have identical journeys, there are a few ways to figure out if you're ready to apply to TCU.
