Are you looking for an enriching educational experience that goes beyond the four
walls of the classroom? The John V. Roach Honors College is a great way to engage with the world around you through hands-on learning experiences,
allowing you to broaden your horizons as you seek to understand and build connections
within the global community.
Honors College students take courses that fulfill lower and upper division curriculum requirements. As you progress through lower-division coursework, you have a variety of topics and courses to choose from that prepare you for upper-division Honors courses. You can choose to conduct undergraduate research through Departmental Honors or through University Honors, which involves discussion-based seminars.
One of the main reasons students choose TCU is for our wonderful and supportive community and it is no different within the Honors College. Students get to bond and live together in Milton Daniel Hall, the dedicated residence hall for all first-year honors students where they foster a sense of community outside the classroom. From intramural sports to other year-round events, there are plenty of opportunities to get connected to and have fun with fellow peers of the Honors College!
When students graduate, the Honors College hosts a special ceremony to celebrate the hard work of Honors students during their time at TCU. The Honors Laureate Ceremony is the final send-off for students, as they commit themselves to lifelong learning and sign The Great Book along succeeding previous Honors College graduates.
These are just a few of the many perks to being an Honors College student at TCU! Check out Colleen’s perspective and Honors experience here.
Being a part of the Honors College is so much more than the classes you take. It's a community made up of students with diverse perspectives and worldviews that you get to call your closest friends. Apply to the John V. Roach Honors College by November 15 to join this remarkable group of students!
