Are you ready to take your education to the next level? The John V. Roach Honors College offers an academic experience built for students who love to explore, create and challenge ideas. From innovative classes to global adventures, Honors students get to learn in ways that go far beyond the classroom.

Courses That Spark Curiosity

Honors students have access to one-of-a-kind classes that combine creativity and critical thinking.

Whether it’s examining literature through the lens of American sitcoms, analyzing the true meaning of happiness, or diving deep into global challenges, Honors courses are designed to make you think differently.

Small, discussion-based seminars allow you to connect with professors and classmates who share your passion for learning.

Study Abroad, Honors Style

From exploring games and culture in Japan to studying history in Germany, Honors study abroad programs connect classroom topics with real-world experiences, helping you become a more globally minded leader.

Next year, students will travel to Sevilla, Spain for their Cultural Routes program over spring break.

Honors Frog Camp

Before classes even begin, Honors students kick off their TCU journey at Honors Frog Camp, a special experience designed just for them. It’s a chance to connect with fellow Honors students, meet faculty and get an inside look at what makes the Honors community so unique.

Past Honors Frog Camps have taken students to incredible destinations like Paris, Rome, Munich, and London, where they explore new cultures, visit historic landmarks and build lifelong friendships along the way.

By the time you arrive on campus for your first semester, you’ll already feel part of something special.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Whether through Departmental Honors or University Honors, you can design your own project, work closely with a faculty mentor, present your findings and submit your work to the permanent archive of the Mary Couts Burnett Library

Living and Learning Together

Community is at the heart of the Honors experience. First-year Honors students live together in Milton Daniel Hall, a space designed for connection and collaboration.

It’s more than just a residence hall; it’s a place where ideas are shared, lifelong friendships are built, and late-night study sessions turn into big conversations about the world. Image from a series of photos depicting students at various places around the TCU campus.
