TCU Nicole SinclairNicole Sinclair’s journey into international education is deeply personal and rooted in community. A proud Fort Worth native, she grew up in the city that now serves as the backdrop to her work at TCU. Before joining TCU’s Office of Admission, Nicole worked with a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping refugee families resettle in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

That work didn’t just shape her career – it transformed the way she sees the world.

“It really shaped my passion for serving and supporting a global community,” she says. “I learned that every story, every student, carries something powerful – and it deserves to be met with care.”

That sense of care has become the cornerstone of Nicole’s work. As the Associate Director of International Admission, she supports students from the Americas, Europe, Oceania and globally mobile students attending school in the U.S. – but more than anything, she builds trust.

For Nicole, this role isn’t just about enrollment; it’s about being a steady presence for students navigating some of life’s biggest transitions.

“As a parent, I often think about how hard it must be for families to send their child across the world,” she shares. “That perspective has really shaped the way I support students, not just academically, but on a human level.”

Her approach goes far beyond office walls or email threads. She regularly checks in with students, invites them into her home and brings them into her family's life in real and tangible ways.

“Some of my favorite memories have come from having students over for dinner,” she says. “It’s simple, just sharing a meal around the table, but those moments have meant a lot. My kids get to meet people from different parts of the world, hear new languages, and learn about other cultures in a natural, personal way.”

For Nicole, these shared experiences are where connection takes root. She believes that when students feel truly seen and supported, they’re able to thrive, and that sense of belonging becomes the foundation for everything else.

“TCU really is the heartbeat of the city,” she says. “And when we show up for our students, when we open our doors and create space for their stories – that’s when something extraordinary happens.”
