In case you missed it, here's a recap of our recent Facebook Live session featuring Emily Ivey, director of New Student & Family Programs; Adrian Andrews, vice chancellor of Public Safety; Jude Kiah, associate vice chancellor of Student Affairs' business and operations; and Craig Allen, executive director for Housing & Residence Life and Fraternity & Sorority Life.

They provided valuable insights about the next steps as you embark on your journey to TCU.

Orientation and Frog Camp

Orientation is your first official step toward becoming a Horned Frog. You'll meet faculty, staff and new classmates, learn about campus resources, receive academic advising and prepare for class registration. Attendance is required for all new undergraduate students — and it's an important foundation for a smooth transition to campus life. See the Orientation Calendar and FAQ.

Frog Camp is an extended orientation program that takes the TCU experience even further. Hosted off-campus — sometimes in exciting travel destinations — Frog Camp introduces incoming students to TCU traditions, campus culture and new friends. Campers are grouped into small teams led by upper-division students and a faculty or staff mentor, creating a "home base" where they can dive into conversations about college life, community and what it truly means to be a Horned Frog. Plus, it’s a lot of fun along the way! See the Frog Camp Calendar and FAQ.

Registration for both orientation and Frog Camp can be completed on the myTCU portal once the commitment deposit has been submitted.

Student Housing

Once you've made it official and deposited, it's time to start thinking about where you’ll live at TCU! Incoming first-year and transfer students will complete their housing application through your myTCU portal.

The housing application for incoming students opens May 1 and closes June 1 — so be sure to mark your calendar and complete it during that window. Room assignments are released through the myTCU portal beginning June 20.

Through the application, you’ll be able to rank your residence hall preferences, add preferred roommate(s) and tell us a little about your living habits so we can match you with the best fit if you don't have a roommate selected.

For even more details on the housing process, including residence hall options, tips for picking your preferences and what to expect on move-in day, visit Housing & Residence Life or learn about Fraternity & Sorority Life

Student Dining

Our campus dining options are abundant and designed to fit a variety of lifestyles and preferences — from freshly prepared comfort foods to vegetarian, vegan and allergen-free choices. In fact, one of our kitchens is specifically maintained as an allergen-free environment to ensure safe and delicious options for students with food allergies.

Dining Services also keeps things exciting by hosting themed events, pop-up meals and special menus throughout the year, so there’s always something new to try.

When it comes to meal plans, TCU offers flexible options that work for both on-campus and off-campus students. Plans include a combination of Campus Cash and meal swipes that can be used at campus dining halls, cafés and even select restaurants around Fort Worth. Explore the various meal plan options and FAQ and find the best fit for you.

Campus Updates

TCU is embarking on transformative developments as part of its Campus Master Plan, aiming to enrich student life and foster stronger community connections. Notably, two major residence life projects are set to expand housing options and amenities, reflecting the university's commitment to providing a vibrant and supportive environment for all Horned Frogs. For more information on what incoming students can expect in terms of campus growth, check out this section of the Facebook Live Q&A.

We can't wait to welcome our next class of Horned Frogs to TCU!
