Academic Camps

Host: TCU Schieffer College of Communication

Description: The Schieffer Summer Journalism Camp introduces high schoolers to the skill set required for modern journalism.

Athletic Camps

Host: TCU Athletics/Eric Bell

Description: This two-day event is designed for advanced player development and exposure to some of the nation’s top college coaches. Over the course of the weekend attendees will participate in training, scrimmages and a college talk seminar. Camp is open to girls ages 14 and up (8th - 12th grades). Players interested in camp should be in High School and should have college soccer at some level as a goal.

Description: Designed to help players of all ages and skill levels showcase their abilities while interacting with TCU players and coaches, as well as MLB scouts, in an effort to improve the overall skill set of each player.

Host: Wilson 

Description: One of Wilson’s most popular tennis camps across the nation, the Wilson Collegiate Tennis Camp at Texas Christian University offers 4 weeks of incredible fun and learning. The TCU camp is co-directed by world class TCU tennis coaches, David Roditi & Christopher Williams. Nestled on the beautiful TCU campus, this camp offers something for players of all skill levels with full and half day camper options.

Description: Instruction and Play Golf Camp. Any young man between 12 and 18 is eligible to attend the camp. Campers will be organized by age and ability for more effective instruction.

Host: Gary Patterson/TCU Athletics

Description: This is a camp designed for those who are entering or are in high school. These camps include positional instruction for OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE LINEMAN, LINEBACKERS, RUNNING BACKS, TIGHT ENDS, KICKERS, PUNTERS, SNAPPERS and SKILL positions (QUARTERBACKS, WIDE RECEIVERS, SAFETIES & CORNERS). All participants will have an opportunity to be seen by Coach Gary Patterson and the entire Horned Frog Coaching Staff.

Description: Come enjoy the beautiful sand courts at TCU and train under coach Hector Gutierrez! Players will go through a series of drills as well as live play in a fun filled but intense day camp!

Description: A variety of skill specific, all skills, and college ID camps are available for players of various ages and skill levels. The coaches at TCU volleyball camps are a combination of the TCU Volleyball Staff, current and former players, and coaches from local clubs, as well as other Division I, II, III schools.

Fine Arts Camps

Host: TCU School of Music 

Description: This two-day workshop will include group master classes and performance sessions, chamber music opportunities, discussions of clarinet solo music and bass clarinet techniques and ends with a group recital. Applicants must have at least two years of playing experience.

Host: TCU School of Music 

Description: This two-day workshop is co-sponsored by the Yamaha Corporation and designed exclusively for marching percussion and pit. The camp is open to all middle school, high school and college students.

Description: This two-day workshop will include group master classes and performance sessions, chamber music opportunities, discussions of flute solo music and piccolo practice techniques.

Description: This two-day workshop will include a lecture-demonstration by TCU Saxophone Professor Joe Eckert, a group master class and performance session, a discussion of saxophone chamber music, jazz style analysis and specific practice/performance tips for the aspiring saxophonist.

Description: Three days of solo masterclasses and ensemble rehearsals as well as interactive and informative sessions about the harp.

Description: Now there’s no reason to attend separate leadership and music camps! TCU’s comprehensive High School Music and Leadership Experience gives students a combined camp setting that will prepare them for success in marching band leadership as well as concert band, solo and chamber music.  (6th-8th grade)

Description: Students will learn and prepare the all-state choral literature and receive training in vocal practice techniques, diction and sight-singing. Entertaining and fun activities are included as well!

Description: This three-day workshop features string chamber ensembles and master classes for serious violin, viola, cello and bass students and is appropriate for 8th grade, high school and college level players.

Description: A long time ago on a piano far, far away… John Williams created some of the most memorable film music ever written. Explore the music from all nine Star Wars films and learn to recognize the themes for the different characters, become familiar with the instruments heard in the symphony orchestra, develop active listening skills, and examine how music contributes to the overall movie-watching experience.
